Maria and Patrick took the concept of glamping and upped the romance factor for their wedding reception at the Westin. After the formal ceremony at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, the couple moved the party outside and made the most of Savannah’s balmy summer nights. They staged the Westin’s courtyard for a laid back, romantic evening with lots of minimalist, rustic charm. The main design event was a vignette of plants and candles built on wooden pallets. This organic structure set the visual stage for the rest of the reception. Additional terracotta pots, large lanterns, and draped greenery gave the whole courtyard a posh, green effect.
In terms of personal flowers, the bouquets featured roses and ranunculus in varying shades of white, peach, and blush. These soft pink shades were carried through in the bridesmaid’s dresses and brought softness to an otherwise all green palette. Inside the Westin’s ballroom, lush green chandeliers and nature-inspired details brought the organic vibes indoors.
