Ashley and Adam’s wedding at Ford Plantation featured a gorgeous ceremony in the middle of the front lawn, followed by a tented reception. The couple took full advantage of our floral installation work, bringing elegant architectural structure to the outdoor event. For the ceremony, we created a floral altar, fitted with the bride’s own personal collection of chinoiserie vases (something blue.) At the reception, we built a wall length garland structure that acted as a live trellis wall. We also created a large floral chandelier using nagi and magnolia leaves. Table runners made from this same greenery decorated the tables and reception bar.
The couple accented this abundant use of greenery with white and blush colored flowers – primarily garden roses, ranunculus, and peonies. By manipulating and building up natural elements, the wedding blended the pleasures of being outdoors with a grand and polished finish. By limiting the color palette and floral varieties, the wedding’s sophisticated forms and high end finishes were able to take center stage.
