Ashley and Adam’s wedding at Ford Plantation was a traditionally elegant affair. The wedding party’s attire is formal and coordinated with soft blue bridesmaids dresses offering a classic, romantic softness. White peonies with Israeli ruscus produce traditionally elegant and formal bouquets. This traditional blue and white color story is tied together with the bride’s collection of blue and white porcelain chinoiserie used as vases at the alter. Roses in delicate shades of pink and blush are brought in sparingly, adding distinction to the bridal bouquet and brightness to the floral archway built in the middle of the lawn.
Aside from the archway created for the ceremony (pictured above), the wedding features a large trellis wall created with nagi and salal. This lattice structure creates a vibrant, textured backdrop for the head table that matches the design of the wedding’s invitations. It’s pruned, stylized structure brings a formal element to the tented reception. Additional garlands line the buffet and a more loosely styled garland creates the foundation for the the head table’s centerpiece. All of this greenery is punctuated with blush and pink roses, carrying through the elegant and understated color scheme. The abundant use of greenery offers a liveliness to the space while maintaining a formal and traditional atmosphere.
